Multifamily
Construction is underway for Jamestown Apartments on US Highway 71 south in Bossier City. The 212 unit luxury multi-family complex is designed by The Newman Marchive Partnership, Inc. The project features a resort-style pool with an outdoor kitchen and entertaining area, and an amenities center that includes a fitness center with state-of-the-art exercise equipment and a business center equipped with computer stations. Jamestown is pre-leasing through Fairfield Properties for a Spring 2010 opening.
An adaptive reuse of a former Shreveport, LA nursing home facility is underway for the VOA to provide comprehensive support services in a residential development center for homeless veterans.
Worship Centers
Salem Baptist Church in Stonewall, LA is expanding their services with the addition of a 13,000 sq. ft. Family Life Center that includes a gymnasium and day care center.
Community
September ground-breaking ceremonies were held at Minden City Hall for the $2.6 million addition that will add 10,000 sq. ft. of multi-level office space to the existing structure. Alliance, Inc. is the architect.
Construction is active at Barksdale Air Force Base for a 9,600 sq. ft. $1.5 million Welcome Center for base personnel.
Also at Barksdale, a $4.2 Million design-build partnership with LeBlanc and Young Architects on a 17,500 square feet child development center breaking ground early 2010.
Hospitality
A new Sleep Inn and Suites is under construction on Sanford Avenue in Shreveport. The 47,400 sq. ft., 4 story hotel will have 83 rooms and feature an indoor pool, fitness center, accommodations for meetings, and a business center.
Healthcare
Renovations are underway at the VA Medical Center 9th and 10th floor to bring the facility up to current fire code guidelines.
