Wayne Brown, President, has overseen the operations and growth
of Brown Builders, Inc. since he founded the firm in 1971, utilizing
his father and brother's proven philosophy in residential building:
every customer deserves the highest quality within their individual
budget.
Wayne is actively involved in a number of civic and charitable
endeavors and is widely known as an industry leader in the Shreveport-Bossier
area.
Leadership activities include serving as past President of the
local chapter of the Associated General Contractors, Vice President
of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce board and past Chairman of
the Bossier Economic Development Foundation. Wayne is a member
of the Committee of 100 for Shreveport-Bossier City as well as
the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Development Board.
He is also an active member and deacon at his church.
Wayne holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University
and a Master of Sciences in Construction Management from Purdue
University, and he is a registered professional engineer. He has
been honored as one of the Top Ten Small Business People by the
Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and Small Businessman of the Year
by the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. Brown Builders and Wayne Brown
were honored to be selected as finalist for the 1997 Louisiana
Entrepreneur of the Year.
